A melody is made up of various parts, which are compatible with the sound of the story being told. This same concept inspired the Lamosa Obra Blanca 2019 tile exhibition, designed by Diego Hernandez. The objective of the exhibition was to guide the user through different and melodious environments, allowing them to create their own story within the space and be a part of it.
The design of Lamosa Obra Blanca 2019 is characterized by the creation of elements using plans and natural lines with variations in height and width. This approach reflects the honesty of musical notes. The exhibition also features a repetition of volumes of various sizes, representing the strength and hue of a melody. The combination of these elements creates a visually captivating and harmonious experience for visitors.
Spanning an impressive area of 29,000 mm x 14,000 mm, Lamosa Obra Blanca 2019 is a testament to the creativity and technical expertise of the design team. Led by Diego Hernandez, the team also included Viridiana V. Vazquez and received supervision from Jimena Monsivais.
The exhibition took place in Mexico City from October 15th to 17th, 2019. It showcased the innovative use of tiles in architecture and design, pushing the boundaries of what is possible with this versatile material. The design team's meticulous attention to detail and commitment to creating a unique and immersive experience for visitors resulted in a truly remarkable exhibition.
Lamosa Obra Blanca 2019 was recognized for its excellence and creativity, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity, technical skill, and a commitment to improving the quality of life through art, science, design, and technology.
